It's a mad world- The Red Paintings

So, I'm sitting here at work on my break, trying to think of something to do in the last five minutes of time I have away from the classroom. I'll probably go hunt down a snack or something. It's going well, or at least okay, with my two co workers out. One will be back tomorrow, and we take the kids to the symphony. I can't wait for that! Okay, off to find my snack!

wasted words on lower cases and capitals

okay, so i said i would update this more often then my lj, and so far i've failed. i'm trying to think of all the exciting things that have happened since i posted on thursday...umm. i babysat on friday after work. that's like my second job. i haven't had a free friday night in i don't know how long. i don't mind (too much) though. i'd much rather be playing and having a chance to do some knitting or reading than working in a store or at a resturant. saturday i went to the dentist. it was pretty good. i do have some small cavities though, so boo i have to get them taken care of. after the dentist i started the laundry before going to wash trixxie with the robinson boys, and their mom. it was fun, and it was nice to get to hang out with jack. i went to a party at suzi's last night, and it was good. i was a little nervous about going, since i'm not really friends (more like aquantences) with any of the people that were going. i took phase 10 though, and ended up playing that with several people. i feel bad that i didn't get to talk to suzi though.

today i went to a baby shower for my friend from college. it's funny (and a little sad) how all of my friends are growing up and getting married and having kids. and most of my friends from work and from OD are married/engaged/seriously dating as well. then there's me. single and living at home (and actually enjoying it most of the time.) any way, the shower was nice. i was the only friend from college there, but the people i sat with were nice. mandy is going to be such a good mom.

i came home and fought with mom and made a chocolate peanut butter thing for the potluck. it was good, so i heard from the people the got to eat it. there was so much good looking food there! i just had desert and some sweet potatoe casserole since i ate at home. i was surprised that one of BJ's sons wanted me to go to communion with him. it was cute, and nice to spend a little time with him.

that's all. i'm going to go watch kissing jessica stein and try not to spaz out about work this week (lynn and elisa are out, leaving me to be the only teacher in my room tomorrow and tuesday with two subs. the kids did not do well with one sub last week) but i do have two things to look forward to this week, actually 3. not going to class on tuesday to give a tour of the center (whee extra money, and a chance to just be helpful), dinner at the quiet storm on wednesday and no work on friday.

You know, I love having the TV on, most often just as background noise, but every once in a while, I really get into a show that I have watch. Lately (for over a year now) it's been CSI:. Although for the past season, and this one, I've had class on Thursday, and I could only catch episodes when class was cancelled, or months later when it repeated. Well, this semester my prof lets out at 8, and I try everyweek to make it home for the episode, but I always missed the first half hour. Well, tonight I got to see it all! I have no idea how I made it home (I actually missed the first 5 min. But that's nothing). It was a nice end to a pretty good day.

Also, I really need to have my camera in my bag all the time. Or, just find time to go out and take some pictures.
