Turn your head up to the sky, nothing down below, don't let go

My friend Ashley made me that picture, it's me as a super hero. I can't remember what my super hero name is, but my super power is taming small children.

I feel like I need to be a super hero these days, or at least have super powers. I'm extreamly busy trying to finish up the last few things I need to do to graduate on Thursday, unfortunately, I suffer from a horrible disease called procrastination. I have one more paper to write (and I can keep submitting it until I get a grade I'm happy with) and a take home test to do. I also have to do some volunteer hours, but I can't do that until Friday (I have to take an incomplete in my one class).

Work has been going really well. For a while I was feeling like I couldn't compare to the two other teachers in my room. They had wonderful experiences happening and I got my subject just thrown at me and told to do it because I did it once and liked it. Well going from talking about shadows (which happened once) to having the kids telling me stories as they used the shadow puppets I made for them to them making their own puppets and stories, has been an amazing thing.

I'm really enjoying the OD. I'm really thankful that Josh invited me over a year ago. I find it interesting that I always have friends introduce me to things and I stick with them, and they stop. But he'll back in a few months. I do have to say though, I think that if he had not gone away, I don't think I would have gotten involved as I have. I think I would still be thinking of it as Josh's church instead of my own. What's bringing this on? I had the cookie exchange on Friday, and as I sat around the Woodworth's table just talking and having the kids crawling around my feet, I realized how lucky I am to have met these people.

Okay, I think I've squeezed a lot into this post. Hopefully after all the school work is done, I'll update this more.

I'm glad you're liking the OD--I'm glad you're there!
